On 14 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and honorary guests of the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum” took part in a ceremony of opening an international Halal fair Kazan Halal Market, which is a part of the Forum programme and exhibits a large range of food products, clothes, accessories, cosmetics and other goods which comply with the world Halal standards. In the current year more than 150 companies from 15 regions of Russia, manufacturers from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, India and Senegal are taking part in it and it is expected that more than 40 thousand people will visit the fair.

On 14 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandr Gorov discussed issues of ensuring law and order and public safety during the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum” held from 13 to 18 May of the current year with more than 10 thousand guests from 103 countries expected to take part in it.

On 12 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Border Service Directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSS) of Russia for Saratov and Samara regions Yuriy Urvanov discussed a number of issues of interaction of the republic and the Directorate including ensuring safety during the coming International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”.

On 11 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Zelenodolsk region Mikhail Afanasyev went on a working trip to the region where he got acquainted with the current progress of the sowing campaign. 

On 10 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia in Moscow where he watched the Shurale ballet performed during the Mariinsky Theatre tour.

On 10 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to hold the coming large forums in the republic at the highest level and to ensure coordinated work of hospitality and transport facilities, paying special attention to issues of safety.

He stated that on 9 May our republic together with the whole country celebrated the 80th anniversary of the great Victory. “We are having a large scale event – the International Economic Forum Russia the Islamic World: KazanForum ahead and expecting delegates from 100 countries. Very serious representation, solid speakers,” the Rais of the republic said.

On 10 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Zinnatullina informed about 25 per cent of work completed in repairing roads and installing lighting by the regional Our Yard programme and the amount of children’s and sports equipment stored at warehouses of the republic which will be later installed in Kazan, Naberezhnyye Chelny and Nizhmekamsk regions.

On 9 May at their meeting in Kazan the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and a delegation of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Moldova) - the Deputy Chairman of the Gagauzia Executive Committee Viktor Petrov and the member of Moldova Parliament Aleksandr Sukhodoskiy who came to Kazan to take part in celebrations of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) - discussed strengthening their cooperation in various spheres. 

On 9 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the state Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and participants of the special military operation (SVO) took part in a solemn ceremony dedicated to the erection of the memorial stone on the construction site of a future memorial complex dedicated to participants of the SVO in the Victory Park in Kazan.

On 9 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the state Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal flame in the Victory Park in Kazan.
