On 17 May, speaking at his meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for political affairs Ali Bagheri on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Russian Federation and Iran are long-time and close partners, we are united by the common vision in resolving burning international problems. The cooperation of our countries gains special value and meaning under conditions of a crisis in international relations.”

On 17 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part at a panel session on the topic of partnership financing, the first outcomes of the experiment in four Russia entities and first assessments, held at the XV International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum 2024”, where he was asked to share his opinion about the progress of the experiment in the region and what is necessary to do for the development of partnership financing in Russia.

On 17 May, speaking at his meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy of the UAE Abdullah Al Saleh on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that at its level the republic actively facilitates strengthening of Russia-Emirates relations by organizing reciprocal visits of delegations and Tatarstan representatives taking regular part in the Dubai Investments Forum and the International Exhibition in Abu-Dhabi. “We always feel personal attention and support of developing our cooperation given by the President of the UAE, the Ruler of the Abu-Dhabi Emirate His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “he said. 

On 17 May at the representative building of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is the UNESCO Good Will Ambassador, had a meeting with the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Dr. Salim Mohammed AlMalik, who came to Tatarstan to take part in the XV International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum 2024” being held in Kazan these days.

On 17 May on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Board Chairman and the Director General of the DP World Company Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.

DP World (Dubai Port World) – is one of the largest world logistics companies in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that specializes in cargo logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services and free trade zones and handles 70 million containers that are brought in by around 70,000 vessels annually. This equates to roughly 10% of global container traffic accounted for by their 82 marine and inland terminals present in over 40 countries.

On 16 May at their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin,   the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who currently is taking part in the XV International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum 2024”, discussed a number of issues of management of the World Heritage sites and certain aspects of preservation of the intangible heritage.

On 17 May, speaking at his meeting with a delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) headed by the Representative of the OIC Secretary General on Political Matters Mohamed Salah Tekaya on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum , the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic attaches huge attention to the development of trade and economic contacts with Muslim countries.

On 16 May at their meeting on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the chairman of the Council of the Federal Territory Elena Shmeleva discussed issues of interaction in particular in finding and supporting gifted young people and further development of cooperation between the republic and the Sirius Center. 

On 16 May on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin and thanked him for the support given by the Ministry to the republic in development of international cooperation.

On 15 May, speaking at his meeting with the First Deputy of the Head of the High Council of State of Libya Massoud Abid on the sidelines of the XV KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Russia is for achievement of final longtime stability on Libya, strengthening its solidarity and sovereignty and provision of progressive social and economic development. “Our country is ready to facilitate the progress of the internal Libyan political process. Our countries have rich cooperation experience,” he said.
