Rustam Minnikhanov hands in regional awards for contribution to the development of civil society institutions in Tatarstan

On November 3, in the Kazan Kremlin, speaking at a solemn ceremony of handing in the awards of the Rais of Tatarstan for contribution to the development of civil society institutions in Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the laureates and said that the ceremony is being held for the tenth time and has already become a good tradition and a significant symbol of recognition of the achievements of the most active Tatarstan residents, whose efforts are aimed at implementing and supporting civic initiatives and organizing social projects that improve the quality of life in the republic.

Due to the efficient interaction between the government and the non-profit sector, social and political stability, inter-national and interfaith peace and harmony, succession of generations, spiritual and moral traditions are maintained and strengthened, Minnikhanov emphasized.

Among the awarded are well-known organizations in Tatarstan, including the Ak Bars Sozidanie Charitable Foundation, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year; the regional public organization "Maritime Assembly of Tatarstan," which educates the younger generation in the glorious, centuries-old naval traditions and perpetuates the memory of Navy veterans and participants of the Special military operation who were born in Tatarstan; and the Mordvins National Cultural Autonomy in Tatarstan, which actively works to strengthen interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony. The Tatarstan regional public organization of the All-Russian Public Organization for the Disabled, the "All-Russian Order of the Red Banner of Labor Society of the Blind," has been actively protecting the rights and interests of people with visual impairments for many years. The Tatarstan regional branch of the All-Russian public organization "Association of Lawyers of Russia" provides free legal assistance and is engaged in legal education for the public. "Dear friends, your work exemplifies service to society and civic responsibility," Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the ceremony participants. "I sincerely thank each of you for your commitment and active position, your dedication to the republic and the country. You are doing important and noble work! I congratulate you on your well-deserved awards and wish you health, prosperity, and new achievements".
