On 5 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company Yevgeny Dietrich  discussed strategic cooperation in the projects of development water  high speed passengers transportation, namely the plans of leasing  passengers high-speed hydrofoil vessels Meteor-2020.Two such vessels carried passengers from Kazan to Ulyanovsk and Cheboksary and the participants of the meeting discussed increasing the number of ships as there is a high interest to this kind of travel.

On 6 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of the Romeks Group of Companies Sergey Prokopenko discussed implementation of an investments project on construction of a wholesale distribution center Zelenodolsk-4 at the Tura 2.0 Industrial Park in Tatarstan.

On June 6, on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Governor of the Chinese province of Liaoning Li Lecheng.

On 6 June, speaking at his meeting with the Director General of the RI Group of Companies Dmitriy Reutt and the founder of the TK BROZEKS Vyacheslav Brozovskiy on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said the republic does systemic and regular wok with investors. “We actively use all existing tools that are aimed at supporting investors and attracting investments,” he emphasized. 

On 5 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the Rockwool Russia Company Marina Potoker discussed work of the company in the republic and implementation of certain projects at healthcare and education facilities. 

On 6 June, speaking at his meeting with the Governor of Tomsk region Vladimir Mazur on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that according to last official information the trade turnover between the regions makes about 1.6bn rubles, with Tatarstan delivering trucks, packaging products, medical equipment and medications and receiving chemical products and cables. 

On 6 June, speaking at his meeting with the Head of the Government of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov .on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: ”Cooperation between our republics possesses potential of development in many spheres. Tatars the same as Khakas have Turkic roots and we speak similar languages.” 

In his address on the occasion of celebrations of the Day of the Russian Language and the 225th birthday of Aleksandr Pushkin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the event and said: “Russian language is a unique heritage of the whole humankind. It is due to it that it is possible to preserve and pass the authenticity of Russian people, spiritual and moral values and richness and beauty of cultures of all ethnicities of Russia to next generations.”

On 5 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to St Petersburg to take part in the events of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum held from 5 to 7 June. The visit programme includes up to 30 meetings and signing of agreements.

The exposition of the republic is displayed in the ExpoForum Exhibition center.

On 5 June, speaking at a solemn ceremony of handing in forest fireproof and forest fire guard machinery to departmental institutions of the Forestry Ministry of the republic held in front of the building of the Traffic Safety Police with participation of  the Minister of the Forest Economy of the republic Ravil Kuzyurov and the Acting Minister of Emergencies for Tatarstan Irek Kadamov,  the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin stated that more than 17 per cent of the area of the republic is covered by forest. “Forest is our national treasure which is “lungs” for the industrially developed republic and needs to be used properly. That is why your work is so important,” he said to forest rangers.
