On 9 May in his address on the occasion of 81st Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic, combat soldiers and home front workers with the Victory Day and said: “This holiday personifies courage, unity and unbending will of our multiethnic people and occupies a special place in life of each of us, evoking the most tender feelings.

The Victory Day reminds us about the most difficult trials that fell to the lot of our ancestors, the history of heroic overcoming and the triumph of fortitude. We are deeply grateful to the generations of victors, who resolutely and selflessly defended the freedom and independence of the Motherland.

On 8 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Leninogorsk Poultry Farm where he got acquainted with the current situation and stages of further development of production.

The investment project envisages the establishment of a production complex for the industrial cultivation and slaughter of turkey on the premises of the poultry farm, which earlier produced eggs and closed in August 2023.

On 8 May during his working trip to Leninogorsk region, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and persons accompanying him visited the Village of Timyashevo where they laid flowers to the monument to the fallen in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

As many as 227 people went to the front from the village and 108 of them were killed or went missing in action.

On 8 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremonial of putting into operation an elevator complex in the Village of Yefanovka of Bugulma region of the republic.

The facility will become an important link of the agribusiness export infrastructure and once it reaches the full capacity, the elevator plans to ship over 150 000 tonnes of grain and oilseeds abroad annually. As the Company experience demonstrated last year a similar complex put into operation in the west of Tatarstan shipped 223 000 tonnes of agricultural products. 

On 8 may during his working trip to Bugulma region, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers to the monument to the fallen in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) in Spasskoye settlement which was erected in 1985.

Out of 285 people, who went to the front from the settlement, 209 did not come back and 10 of them were awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Rustam Minnikhanov also honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

On 8 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Bugulma region Damir Fattakhov visited the region, where he got acquainted with the progress of spring field work. 

At a meeting of the Rais of the republic with heads of farms and rural settlements, Damir Fattakhov informed that it is planned to sow 43 700 hectares in the region with sowing already completed on 33 per cent of the area. The weather permitting, the spring sowing will be finished by 20 May, he said.

On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to hold festive events dedicated to the Victory Day and planned at all cities and regions of the republic at the high organizational level.

On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported  that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.

On 7 May, speaking at a meeting of organization committees for preparation and celebration of the 81-st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) 1941-1945 and holding the Year of Military and Labour Valor in the republic held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said :” Our priority is to organize work so that every veteran of the Great Patriotic War feels cared for and receives the necessary assistance around the clock.”

On 7 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais Asgat Safarov, the regional Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov, the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov and other officials took part in a ceremony of unveiling the monument  to the Hero of Socialist Labout Ildus Mostyukov created by  the sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Zulfiya Mukhamedyanova and erected at the Alley of Glory of the Arskoye Cemetery in Kazan.
