On 1 February, upon his arrival to the Sultanate of Oman, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Deputy President of the Oman Investment Authority Mulham Al-Jarf, where he stated that Tatarstan attaches special attention to the development of cooperation with Sultanate of Oman for the benefit of strengthening friendly relations of Russia and Oman.
On 31 January, at a Saturday meeting held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands.
He emphasized that heavy snowfalls and blizzards in the region in recent days have created difficult conditions on roads and highways, significantly increasing the load on road and utility services and causing traffic accidents. “In these conditions, our task is to ensure the safety of citizens and the sustainable functioning of the road and public utility infrastructure,” the Rais of the republic said and gave an errand to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Economy, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic, the Emergencies Ministry and the State Housing Inspection together with heads of cities and regions to organized round-the clock work of all road, utility and emergency services and to ensure timely clearing of snow from highways, the road and street network of populated areas and public spaces. On top of that it is important to ramp up control over management companies and property owners regarding the maintenance of courtyards, driveways, and sidewalks and to control snow and ice removal from roofs and entrance structures of multi-apartments houses, social and commercial facilities with large numbers of people present.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
On 30 January during the resulting collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Road Economy held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Gorky Branch of the Russian Railways Company Sergey Dorofeevskiy signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of railway transport for 2026-2028 between the Government of the republic and JSC Russian Railways which envisages cooperation in terms of increasing the volume of rail transportation, developing the railway infrastructure in the republic, and implementing various projects in Tatarstan.
On 30 January during the resulting collegium of the Ministry of Transport and Road economy of the republic held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov, who is also the Chairman of the Russian State Council Commission of Efficient Transport System, took part in a round table meeting on the topic of “ Prospects for the development of river freight transport in cooperation with rail and road transport” which was moderated by the regional Minister of Transport and Road Economy Farit Khanifov.
On 29 January, speaking at a meeting of the regional Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications, which summarized results of work of the Ministry in 2025 and set tasks for 2026, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov spoke about importance of the regional warning system.
On 29 January at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of Arnest Group Aleksey Sagal discussed issues of interaction in a number of investment projects.
The Arnest Group is a vertically integrated and export oriented company uniting several business spheres, being one of the largest beer producers in Russia (with the market share of about 11 per cent) and non-alcoholic beverages. It has its production sites in Leningrad, Nizhniy Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions as well as in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Khabarovsk region.
In his address dedicated to 100th anniversary of the establishment of Tatarstan Dinamo physical education and sports society, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, who is also the Chairman of the Dinamo Board, congratulated athletes, coaches, fans and old stagers of the society with the event and wrote:” For its hundred years history every generation of Dinamo members has made its substantial contribution into the high achievements sport of the country. Regional Dinamo athletes have won more than 50 Olympic medals, about 200 athletes won world and European championships and regional Dinamo teams won 40 Russian championships in teams sport.”
On 28 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in an extended joint meeting of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan and a collegium of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disaster Response of the republic which summarized results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for 2026.
In his keyword report the Head of the Main Directorate Irek Kadamov informed that there were 3 758 man-caused fires in the republic which killed 128 people and injured 177. Through joint efforts, we have managed to reduce the number of man-caused fires by more than 10%, the number of injured by 12 per cent, however the number of killed increased by 13 people, he said.
On 28 January at a ceremony held as a part of a meeting summarizing results of work of the territorial subsystem of the unified state system for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations of the republic in 2025 and setting tasks for 2026, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Head of the Main Directorate of Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan Irek Kadamov handed in keys for 24 new fire and rescue vehicles purchased at the expense of the regional budget to units of the Directorate and Tatarstan Emergencies Ministry.
