Rustam Minnikhanov: events dedicated to Kurban-Bayram and the Russian Language Day must be organized at the highest level

On 31 May, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that next week on 6 June the republic will celebrate the Eid al-Adha and gave an errand to have all events at the highest level.  He stated that during the holiday there will be festive sermons, religious rituals including Thanksoffering and gave an errand to the Muslims Religious Board of the republic and heads of cities and regions as well as law-enforcement bodies to ensure law and order and safety during the festive events and to take under special control slaughtering sacrifice animals on special sites complying with sanitary and veterinary requirements.

“It so coincided that we are celebrating the Eid al-Adha on the birthday of our world classic Aleksandr Pushkin and the Russian Language Day. It is the official language of our multi-national country and one of the commonly acknowledged world communication languages. The events must be organized at the highest level,” the Rais of the republic emphasized.

On top of that June 1 is the International Day for Protection of Children and Rustam Minnikhanov added: “It is the most important holiday for every family and there will be events everywhere. The main aim is to attract attention to rights and wellbeing of children, their development and protection and to the necessity of creating favourable conditions for every child. The events must be held with ensuring all safety measures.”
