Denis Manturov and Rustam Minnikhanov take part in a ceremony of opening the Olimp Industrial Park in Naberezhnyye Chelny

On 30 May the First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Denis Manturov, who came on a working trip to the republic, and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the KAMAZ Automaker and took part in a ceremony of opening the new Olimp Industrial Park in Naberezhnyye Chelny.

At the KAMAZ scientific and technological center Rustam Minnikhanov and Denis Manturov were demonstrated the latest high end K5 generation vehicles as well as quarry damp trucks Atlant, KAMAZ-6290 hydrogen driven truck and a sided electric garbage-removal truck KAMAZ-53199.

The Company also showed a set of technical solutions which make it possible to drive trucks for people with disabilities, and Denis Manturov gave an errand to the Ministries of Transport and Trade and Industry together with the Rosstandard to elaborate the regulatory framework to ensure that drivers with disabilities are allowed to engage in commercial transportation in specially equipped vehicles as such solutions can be in demand also with participants of the special military operation.

Later the same day Denis Manturov and Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony of opening the industrial park Olimp which will become the place of residency for radio- electronic manufacturers. In particular, the Electronics and Power Elements Center of the KAMAZ Company, specializing in the development and production of electronic component samples for freight and passenger vehicles with hydrogen fuel cells and electric traction, will be opened here. The Federal power bodies, Tatarstan and KAMAZ all together have invested more than 2bn rubles into the park establishment.

“Today we have had an opportunity to get acquainted with results of R&D work in technologies related to the development of hydrogen engines or accumulators. This sphere is developing rather actively in our country and its results can be applied not only in car manufacture but also in river ships building. We must maintain our potential not decreasing the pace. It is an inter-departmental task. We will be actively working in this direction,” Denis Manturov emphasized.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the Olimp technical park has been established for a very short time due to the initiative of the KAMAZ and the support of the federal Government.

“This is a result of systemic work in the development of high end infrastructure for the republic and the whole country.  It is important for us that the park is also an educational platform and an engineers training center. Much was done lately for supporting the higher school. I am sure the Olimp will become the place of innovations, the birth of new technologies and the growth of new generation of engineers. We will always give you support. I want to wish you to make those inventions which will ensure technological independence of the country,” he said.
