On 22 January at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Deputy Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters of Emergencies (Emergencies Ministry) Roman Kurynin and the Counselor for the Russian Minister of Emergencies Daniil Martynov discussed issues of interaction in improving the system of ensuring comprehensive security for residents and the territory of the region and also providing a modern level of technical and technological equipment for fire rescue forces.

On 21 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Chief Federal Inspector for Tatarstan Viktor Demidov, the Head of the Security and Escort Department of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service Sergey Eliseev and other officials took part in  a resulting meeting of the Directorate of Federal Penitentiary Service for Tatarstan held in Kazan, which summarized results of operational, service, production, economic and financial activities of the penal system of the republic in 2025 and set tasks for the current year.

On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.

On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.

On 20 January at their meeting in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the President of the Rostelecom Company Mikhail Oseevsky discussed issues of the development of cooperation, the Rostelecom being one of the largest communication operators in the republic. The Company provides communication and internet services in key cities of the region, namely Kazan, Naberezhnyye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Ametyevsk with the subscriber base in Tatarstan of 72 thousand subscribers.

On 20 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin visited a new building of the Kirov district court in Kazan located in close proximity to the Moscow district court of the city.

On 20 January upon their arrival to the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin looked round an exposition “We are protecting our Motherland” which tells about students and the faculty of the university who protected the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War (WWII), the special military operation and took part in the international mission in Afghanistan.

On 19 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Russian National Guard Troops Directorate for the republic which summarized results of its work in 2025.

After a welcoming speech of the Head of the Directorate Rustem Gumerov, the participants of the meeting listened to the report of the Deputy Head Sergey Yakushev who told about main activities of the Directorate in 2025.

On 17 January, speaking at a regular Saturday meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic, the Director General of the Gazprom Transgas Kazan Company Rustem Usmanov informed about measures taken for organizing safe use of in-house and in-apartment gas equipment.

Rustem Usmanov said that gas has become an inseparable part of life but at the same time a potential hazard. Therefore, ensuring the safe operation of domestic gas equipment is one of the priority tasks, he said and informed that currently the Gazprom Transgas Kazan carries out the operation and maintenance of 1 million 600 thousand gasified apartments, where over 2.5 million units of gas equipment (gas stoves, heating boilers, instantaneous water heaters) are installed.

On 17 January at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands on ensuring safe use of in-house and in-apartment gas equipment.

Thus local administrations, units of the Emergencies Ministry, gas services, managing companies and the State Housing Inspection were given an errand to ramp up work of monitoring settlements attaching special attention to the condition of gas equipment, ventilation and electric and heating devices. It is also important to maintain daily control over the residences of large families, as well as families in difficult life situations.
