On 27 May the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the morning Eid prayer held at the Al- Marjani Mosque in Kazan on the occasion of the Eid-al-Adha holiday.
Before the Eid sermon the Tatarstan Mufti Kamil hazrat Samigullin read out congratulatory telegrammes on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha from the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Muslims of Russia and from the Rais of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov to Muslims of the republic.
Onn 25 May, during his working trip to Belarus, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the BELDGEE Plant which is a joint Belarus-China venture assembling Belgee and Geely passenger cars.
On 25 May, speaking at his meeting with the Belarus Prime Minister Aleksander Turchin in Minsk, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who with a delegation of Tatarstan came on a working trip to Belarus, said: “Our republic attaches priority to the development of relations with Belarus and its regions within the framework of allied Russia-Belarus relations.”
He shared his impressions of the enterprises he visited in Brest Oblast yesterday on 24 May and emphasized that such work at the level of regions makes it possible to see deeper the economic and industrial capacity and define spheres for cooperation.
On 25 May during his working trip to Belarus the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Educational Center of Life Safety of Belarus Emergencies Ministry.
At the Center the Rais of the republic was told that the main task of such centers is the formation of a culture of life safety in society through the training of the population, including children, in methods of protection and actions in emergency situations, methods of protection and actions in emergency situations, as well as civic-patriotic education of youth.
On 25 May during his working trip to Belarus the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers to the Victory Monument in Minsk which was erected in 1954 at the Victory Square in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and in memory of the soldiers of the Soviet Army, partisans and underground fighters who died during the Great Patriotic War (WW II).
On 24 May in the evening the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived to Minsk which has become the second city after Brest the Rais of the republic is visiting during his working trip to Belarus.
On 24 May during his working trip to Belarus, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Chairman of Brest Oblast Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik, where he thanked him for the rich programme of the stay and a visit to the Brest Fortress.
“We have all grown up on this history and of course I am impressed by the scale of this Memorial Complex,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
On 24 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Youth Patriotic Center in Brest which was established by an initiative of young people and implements programmes of patriotic education of children who have achieved high results in academic and social work, programmes for raising children in need of health improvement, comprehensive school educational programmes and additional educational programmes for children and youth.
On 24 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov began his working programme in Brest oblast by visiting the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex which in May 1965 was awarded the title of the “fortress-hero” for heroic defense during the battles in June-July 1941.
On 23 May upon his arrival to the International Brest Airport, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was welcomed by the Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik.
On 24 May the Rais of the republic plans to visit a number of enterprises, to meet the administration of the Oblast and to sign a memorandum.
