On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 7 May, speaking at a meeting of organization committees for preparation and celebration of the 81-st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) 1941-1945 and holding the Year of Military and Labour Valor in the republic held in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said :” Our priority is to organize work so that every veteran of the Great Patriotic War feels cared for and receives the necessary assistance around the clock.”
On 7 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais Asgat Safarov, the regional Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov, the regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, the President of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov and other officials took part in a ceremony of unveiling the monument to the Hero of Socialist Labout Ildus Mostyukov created by the sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Zulfiya Mukhamedyanova and erected at the Alley of Glory of the Arskoye Cemetery in Kazan.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
On 3 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the International Automotive Exhibition “Auto China 2026”, which opened at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) and the Capital International Exhibition Center of China in Beijing on 24 April.
The Auto China 2026 (Beijing International Auto Show) is one of the largest and most authoritative branch events of the world level.
On 1 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov reported about progress of spring field work and results of cattle-breeding in the first three months of the current year.
On 1 May, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic made a big contribution into the Great Victory and noted that next week we will be celebrating the main holiday- the Day of the Victory of Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War (WW II). “81 years ago, at the cost of incredible efforts, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers won the bloodiest war in history. Out of 700 thousand residents of the republic, who went to the front, the half did not come back and 353 people were awarded the high title of the Hero of the Soviet Union. From the very beginning of the war enterprises of the republic and our rural workers were actively involved in the work of fulfilling military orders and providing the front with everything necessary,” he said.
On 1 May, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic with the Day of Spring and Labour - May, 1 and said: “This holiday symbolizes respect to a labouring man and coming of spring and renovation of nature. All the successes and achievements of the country and the republic, which we are rightfully proud of, are the result of the selfless work of many generations of our compatriots.”
On April 29, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the Center of Unique Craftsmanship (CUC), which officially opened its doors to visitors today and is located in the renovated building of the former Central Department Store (2 Moskovskaya Street).
The modern CUC is a strategic project aimed at preserving and further developing the cultural identity of Tatarstan. The entire building space is dedicated to workshops, creative master classes and exhibition areas. The venue also includes a gastronomic sector and halls for events.
On April 29, in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an awarding ceremony dedicated to the celebration of May Day and Victory Day on May 9 and handed in state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan to distinguished residents of the republic.
