Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture and Food: The sowing campaign has been practically competed in the republic

On 31 May, speaking at a regional meeting held by Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House with the participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regions First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Lenar Garipov reported about the progress of the sowing campaign and forage conservation.

He informed that 30 regions of the republic have completed the campaign, having sown summer crops on the area of 1m 726 thousand hectares which makes 99 per cent of the plan, with two more regions to complete sowing in the nearest 2-3 days. The weather is favourable for plant growing and development and the condition of dropping is good everywhere, the Deputy Minister said.

Lenar Garipov also informed that 37 regions have started forage conservation having conserved first 90 thousand tonnes of haylage mass and 313 tonnes of hay.
