On 15 May, speaking at his meeting with the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  at the Kazan  Expo Exhibition Center, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Abdulla ogly Mustafayev  congratulated him with the successful holding of the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum".

On 15 May, speaking at his meeting with a delegation from Egypt headed by the Minister of Industry of the country Khaled Hashem Maher on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanForum” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked his guests for their interest to the Forum and in the whole for the interest to mutually beneficial cooperation.

On 15 May at their meeting in the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center before the plenary session of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanForum”, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the UN Special Envoy Miguel Angel Moratinos exchanged their view points on further development of relations within the framework of the Strategic Vision Group.

On 15 May on the sidelines of the XVII the International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: KazanForum", the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin, who is also the Chairman of the Forum Organizing Committee, took part in an annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world” held by the Chairman of the Group,  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  with participation of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office in Russia Magomedsalam Magomedov, the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and international colleagues and religious leaders.

On 25 May during a meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world” held at the Bashir Rameev IT Park  in Kazan the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin  read out a welcoming address from Russian President Vladimir Putin of the XVII International economic Forum “Russia –the Islamic world: KazanForum” and a meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world”, which said: “Islam is one of the widespread religions in Russia which is confessed by millions of our citizens who are making an important contribution into the development of domestic economy and science, culture and social sphere. We strive to deepen friendly relations with all Islamic states.

On 15 May, speaking at a meeting of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world” held at the Bashir Rameev IT Park   in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that today relations between Russia and the OIC countries have become more constructive and gained a holistic and multifaceted character, “which strengthened out dialogue and mutual understanding and expanded joint work boundaries”.

On 15 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Tatiana Merkushova discussed issues of interaction of the Government of the republic and the Service, ensuring efficient work of Customs bodies in the republic and the development of international trade ties.

On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Minister of Finance and Revenue of Myanmar Kan Zaw and Union Minister for Industry and Micro, Small, and Medium Sized Enterprises (MSME) Development of Myanmar Charlie Than.

On May 14, at the meeting on the sidelines the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, the Rais(Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Zargan Akhmatova Kadyrova for visiting Tatarstan and conveyed greetings to the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov. The meeting participants discussed issues of interaction in such areas as cultural cooperation and education at the interregional level. Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Leila Fazleeva attended the meeting and indicated the brilliant performance of Chechen creative collectives under the Days of Culture of the Chechen Republic in Tatarstan, which are part of the festival "Eastern Bazaar" (November 2025).

On May 14, the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre hosted a solemn reception marking the opening of the Year “Kazan – Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” and the holding of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”.
