On 21 March, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the International Forest Day is celebrated today and informed that more than 2 300 residents of the republic work in this branch today providing daily conservation, protection and restoration of forests.

On 20 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a festive prayer on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr held in the renovated wooden mosque of the Aybash Village in Vysokaya Gora region of the republic. This is one of the main Muslim holidays marking the end of the Lent during the holy month of Ramadan and in the beginning of the prayer the Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the republic, the Chief Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin read out a congratulation from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated that Russian Muslims deeply respect historical and spiritual traditions of their ancestors. “Special words of gratitude are to followers of Islam who  fight shoulder to shoulder with their comrades in arms for the freedom and independence of the Motherland, and provide support to the families and friends of the heroes,” Vladimir Putin wrote. 

On 19 March in his address on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr holiday and the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic and compatriots with the holiday and wrote: ”This sacred holiday which marks the triumph of faith, spiritual perfection, mercy and compassion fills the hearts of Muslims with joy and creative energy throughout their lives. During Lent, believers strictly followed the precepts of goodness, performed good deeds, and showed concern for their neighbors. And today, with special zeal, we turn to the Almighty with prayers of thanksgiving, in which we ask for the bestowal of health, well-being, and prosperity for our native republic.

On 19 March, during his working trip to Wuhan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has a meeting with the Secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party Mister Wang Zhonglin. 

On 19 March, speaking at a business forum “Tatarstan- Hubei” during his working trip to Wuhan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked its participants for the interest to the republic and said that he is expecting new spheres for cooperation and projects as the result of the forum. “According to the results of last year we can see that trade turnover between Tatarstan and China grew and reached 3.3 billion dollars US,” he informed.

On 19 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is currently on a working trip to China, laid flowers to the monument of Soviet pilots erected in the Hankow district of the City of Wuhan. 

On 18 March during his working trip to China the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the production site of the Maextro cars by the JAC Motors Company, which is among top ten largest automotive producers of China manufacturing light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, minivans, passenger cars, electric vehicles, buses, special chassis, loaders and other types of equipment, as well as gearboxes for cars, engines, auto parts, auto components and so on.  

On 18 March, speaking at his meeting with the Governor of Anhui Province Mister Wang Qingxian during his working trip to China, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that today Russia-China relations are at the unprecedented high level which makes it possible to have more active interaction at a regional level.

On 18 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is currently on a working trip to China, visited the high tech  i-Fly-tek Company in Hefei, which specializes in AI, speech recognition and synthesis, voice assistants, and is also one of the largest Chinese companies in the field of sound systems, virtual reality and cloud computing. The key shareholder of the Company is the largest mobile communication provider in the world - the China Mobile with nearly one billion subscribers.

On 17 March the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the 17th session of the regional State Council where its Chairman Farid Mukhametshin declared his early termination of powers.  “This decision was deliberate and considered. In politics, as in any field, there must be continuity. The past 30 years, during which I have been at the helm of the parliament, have been for me a period of great responsibility, intense work and, at the same time the period filled with pride for our parliament, for our republic and for those who by their work make a substantial contribution into the development of the native republic – a backbone region of Russia,” Farid Mukhametshin said.
