On November 29, speaking at a solemn event held at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt institute, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that currently, the institute is one of the leaders among Russian design and survey organizations.
He also noted that the decision to create the Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt institute was made in the first years of Soviet power, when the construction industry was created in Tatarstan practically from scratch. During the World War II, military facilities were designed here, and in the post-war years, the institute created a number of landmark buildings: the Academy of Sciences, the Veterinary Institute complex and the main building of the Medical Institute, the hospital complex on Chekhov Street. A significant era in the history of the institute began in the 60-70s. During this time, the institute created projects that became symbols of the republic: the Central Department Store, the circus, the Tatarstan Hotel, modern cultural centers, as well as residential areas in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
“At the new stage, the institute played a key role in preparing major federal and international events. In recent years, large-scale projects have been created in Sviyazhsk and Bolgar, the Bashir Rameev IT Park, Kazan metro stations, the new building of the Galiaskar Kamal Theatre and other important facilities. The BRICS summit held in Kazan showed the unique architectural solutions developed by the institute, the speed and quality of preparation of facilities for global event. We are celebrating today's event at the Kazan Expo exhibition center, which was also designed by the institute,” Minnikhanov said.
The Rais of the republic also noted the work of Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt in new territories and participation in charitable projects to create two hospices in Kazan and a children's hospice in Moscow.
The Rais of Tatarstan named the institute's team as its main asset. More than 500 professionals work in six workshops, many of whom have been awarded high titles. He expressed special gratitude to veterans who have made a huge contribution to the development of the bureau. Among them are German Bakulin and Rimma Khasanshina, whose work experience is about 50 years. And from 2002 to 2010, the institute was headed by Irek Faizullin, who today heads the domestic construction complex. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the institute is educating a worthy new generation of architects and engineers.
Then he handed in a number of state awards of Tatarstan. Thus, the team of "Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt" was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Republic of Tatarstan". Director General of the Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt State Enterprise Adel Khusnutdinov thanked the leadership of the republic for the high appreciation of the work of the institute.
