Rustam Minnikhanov meets Emir of Qatar and discusses cooperation within the framework of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World” with Vice-President of the UAE

On 2 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Qatar by an invitation of the Qatar party, had a meeting with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and discussed the cooperation within the framework of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World” with the Vice-President of the UAE Mansour ibn Zayed Al-Nahayan.

Speaking at his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Rustam Minikhanov emphasized that Russia attaches great attention to the interaction with the Islamic world and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He invited Qatar companies to take part in investments projects in Tatarstan. The parties of the meeting also discussed some concrete spheres which are of mutual interest.

At his meeting with the Vice-President of the UAE, Rustam Minnikhanov asked his interlocutor to pass the warmest wishes to the Leadership of the Emirates as today the country is celebrating the Day of its establishment. The parties of the meeting discussed activities within the framework of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World” as representatives of the UAE are among active participants of the Group. It was stated that the field meeting of the group will take part in the nearest future.
