On May 28, speaking at a regional videoconference in the Government House of the republic held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov reported on measures ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

On May 28, speaking at a regional video-conference in the Government House of the republic held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov said that

as many as 1.580 million hectares, or 86 per cent of the plan, which makes 1.8 million hectares, have been sown in Tatarstan.

This includes 91 per cent of cereals, 96 per cent of sugar beet, 65 per cent of corn, 86 per cent of sunflower and 74 per cent of rapeseed. As many as 52 per cent of potatoes and vegetables of 7.1 hectares planned have been planted.

On 27 May at a meeting of the administrations of small oil companies held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic, its participants discussed results of work in the first quarter of 2022 and set up tasks for further development.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov said that during the first three months in the current year Tatarstan companies produced 8.7m tonnes of oil, including 7m by the Tatneft Oil Company and 1.7m by small companies, which showed the growth of 7.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.

On 27 May a meeting of the Board of the Tatneftekhiminvest Holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, considered a number of innovative projects.

In particular, the head of the coated metals and their oxides catalysis of the Institute of Organic Chemistry Aleksandr Stakheyev told about development of the import replacing catalysts for purification of gas emissions from the nitrogen oxide which can be also used in diesel driven trucks such as KAMAZ.

On 27 May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the President of the Tyazhmash Group of Companies Sergey Trifonov discussed issues of developing their relation and strengthening business contacts in industry and heavy machine-building.

On 27 May in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Tatneft Oil Company.

The Board approved the Policy of the Tatneft the area of sustainable development and interaction with stakeholders. The policy is designed to ensure that all stakeholders understand the responsible position of the company in this area and to promote the formation of an effective sustainable development management system at all levels of corporate activity planning.

On 27 May in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the People’s Artist of Russia Aleksandr Rosenbaum.

On 26 May, speaking at an event dedicated to the Chemist’s Day in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that petrochemical industry makes a substantial contribution into providing the economic development of the republic. 

He said that petrochemical enterprises make 40% of the total industrial production volume in the region. “In our country the Strategy-2030 Petrochemical Industry is one of the most important growth points of Tatarstan and we are moving in this direction,” he said.
