On 12 July Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Almetyevsk, and Director General of the Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov visited a laboratory and research center of the Higher Oil School campus which covers 16 thousand square meters.

On 12 July, speaking at a panel discussion of the Tatarstan Oil Summit in Almetyevsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that under such difficult conditions it is especially important to preserve position of Russia in the world energy sector. 

This year one of the main topics for professional discussion is the sustainable development of the oil and gas sphere in the context of diversification and technological leadership and welcoming participants of the summit, Rustam Minnikhanov marked that Russian Federation is the largest world power market player. “Of course, not everyone likes the Russia’s serious existence in the world power industry and there are efforts to replace us, in particular by closing the access to the market and technologies”, he said.

On 11 July in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania. 

On July 11, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Federal Agency for Fisheries Ilya Shestakov discussed the issues of cooperation on the preservation of the ecosystem of water bodies, the development of fisheries and other pressing issues of the industry.
