Tatarstan President: We can see that agricultural fairs are in demand with population

On 17 September, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to administration of cities and regions to organize agricultural fairs that started on 10 September, at the highest level possible.

Agricultural fairs have been organized at 14 special sites in Kazan, at 2 in Naberezhnyye Chelny and Zelenodolsk and at 3 in Nizhnekamsk. The fairs are also held in 14 municipalities and 78m roubles of products have already been sold in the first fair day in Tatarstan.

“We can see that the fairs are in demand. They will be held every week up to 24 December. I ask those who organize them and heads of cities and regions to be very considerate to agricultural workers who have brought their products - we support and facilitate this work. People have already got used to fairs. Also close attention should be paid to quality of products and prices. In their turn cities should provide everything for holding the fairs”, Tatarstan President said.

He reminded that responsibility for organization and holding the fairs lies on regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
