Rustam Minnikhanov at celebrations on the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University: I am proud and honored to have studied here

On September 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University.

Under the festive programme, Minnikhanov visited the dormitory building of the Kazan State Agrarian University opened after a major overhaul, and met participants of the All-Russian contest "AgroNTI-2022".

The main event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University was held in the main building. Speaking from the stage, Minnikhanov congratulated all students and teaching staff of the university on a significant date.

Minnikhanov is also a graduate of this university. In general, during the years of work, Agrarian University has graduated about 40,000 specialists for agriculture and forestry. The university is considered a real forge of personnel for the agro-industrial complex of the republic and the whole country, Minnikhanov emphasized. Among graduates of the university are leading industry specialists, scientists and managers.

Tatarstan President said that 12 scientific schools of the university occupy leading positions in domestic agricultural science in a wide range of areas. Thus, the university is as a platform for development, testing and introduction of new technologies in the agro-industrial complex. The project on the establishment of the Agrobiotechnopark, which is aimed at uniting scientific and educational potential, resources of leading educational institutions, research institutions and agro-business.

“I am proud that I also studied here! The university diploma has always been a sign of quality. I am sure that this will continue. I also want to thank the teachers who gave us this start in life. Let us applaud everyone - both those who are in this hall today and those who are no longer with us. I am convinced that by maintaining the traditions laid down by many generations of teachers and students, your team is able to ensure the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex and agriculture of our republic», Minnikhanov said. Tatarstan President handed in state awards of Tatarstan to the most distinguished specialists (honorary titles, Gratitude Letters of the President of Tatarstan). Departmental awards of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation were also handed in.
