On 22 November during his working trip to Kazan the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko accompanied by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the construction site of a Center for Football Development and gave assessment to the construction progress.
The new sports center is being built for formation of a complete training process both for children’s and professional football teams and will have three pitches – two of them outside and one indoors, the latter to be completed in spring 2025.
The Center will also comprise a women’s building to be commissioned in 2027 and a new universal sports complex for complete sports exercises, accommodation and rehabilitation of footballers.
The old and new facilities as well as the women’s building will be interconnected by overhead gallery-crossings thus forming a complete modern sports complex.
Dmitriy Chernyshenko stated that the sphere of sports is developing dynamically in Tatarstan and this serves to reaching the national goal set forth by Russian President Vladimir Putin - strengthening health of citizens. “By an errand of the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin we have looked round the Center for Football Development and have seen for ourselves that the work is in progress and financing by the state programme of the Development of Physical Culture and Sports is ensured”, he emphasized.
