Rustam Minnikhanov and Dmitriy Chernyshenko had a working meeting in Tatarstan Government House

On 22 November at their working meeting in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko discussed issues of the development of science, education, youth policy, tourism and sports.

Dmitriy Chernyshenko  thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for having organized the working programme and emphasized the big scientific and educational capacity of the region: ”The year 2024 has been declared the year of scientific and technological development in the republic. Tatarstan is among pilot entities in the development of regional state programme of scientific and technological development and the region actively attracts promising specialists to research, with the share of young scientist in the republic reaching about 60 per cent. Six universities take part in the Prioity-20230 programme and the republic provides systemic support to advanced engineering schools. The republic has one of the highest indicators of attracting business finances into joint projects with these schools,” he said.

The Russian official emphasized that the republic attaches great attention to work with the youth and in the spheres of sports and its infrastructure, tourism and the finances allocated on  construction of modular hotels and procurement of tourist equipment and the development of the human capital working in the tourism branch.

Dmitriy Chernyshenko also mentioned an aqua-thermal complex being built by the soft loan programme in Kazan and a large-scale investments project being implemented together with the Tourim.RF and which will create 2 thousand jobs.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said that a number of large federal projects aimed at improvement of the life quality of the population are being implemented in Tatarstan with the support of the Russian President and the Russian Government. “We are taking an active part in all projects and can feel serious support. All aims set forth in the national goals of the President of the country, will be reached,” the Rais of the republic emphasized.
