Rustam Minnikhanov: Zelenodolsk engineering design bureau is one of the leading enterprises in designing sea and river ships

On 22 November, speaking at a ceremonial event dedicated to 75th birthday of the Zelenodolsk engineering design bureau, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Bureau is one of the leading enterprises in designing sea and river ships.

It was established on 18 November 1949 and for 75 years has developed more than 70 projects and various schemes used by ship-building plants in Zelenodolsk, Kaliningrad, Kerch, Sretensk, Feodosiya and St Petersburg to build 879 ships , more than 200 of which were exported. The Bureau also designs equipment for oil and gas branch, geophysical work, repair of wells and others. Rustam Minikhanov looked round the Bureau, got acquainted with its new developments and held a meeting on issues of its further development.

At the ceremonial meeting the Rais of the republic said: “The Bureau has been always marked for its “handwriting” for developing technical solutions based on scientific research and a quest for the most optimal schemes. This helped to preserve the experienced team and the enterprise itself during difficult 90-es.”

He stated that specialists of the Bureau have developed unique ship designs for the NAVY, took part in creating the advanced defense and protection systems and designed innovative civil products.

“Today the Zelenodolsk engineering design bureau is one of the leading design organizations of the domestic ship-building branch which actively introduces modern technologies into design and modelling. Its economic indicators are also growing”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He said that the mane pride of the enterprise is its team and expressed special gratitude to old-stagers who made a huge contribution into the Bureau.

In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the team for the help it provides to its workers taking part in the special military operation and their families and handed in a number of Russian and Tatarstan state awards to the most outstanding employees.
