On 23 August, speaking at a meeting held by the the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference,   the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov reported that 691 thousand out of 1m228 thousand hectares of grain crops have been threshed in Tatarstan, producing 2m866 thousand tonnes of grain with the average yield of 41.5 centners per hectare.

On 21 August the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, who came on a working trip to Kazan, accompanied by the his Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga region Igor Komarov and the Russian Minister of Construction and Housing Utilities Sector Irek Fayzullin, got acquainted with the exposition of the All-Russia Forum “The Development of small towns and historical settlements” organized at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, which demonstrates key achievements and most efficient tools and practices in shaping and developing the urban environment for the last years.

On 21 August upon his arrival to the Kazan International Aiport, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin was welcomed by the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga region Igor Komarov and other officials.

On 21 August via videoconference the Russian Minister of Construction and Housing Utilities Sector Irek Fayzullin, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and the Minister of Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov took part in a ceremony of opening indoor football pitches in four regions of Tatarstan.

On August 20, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and Acting rector of the university Ilshat Nuriev took part in the ceremony of opening of the new dormitory of the Kazan State Agrarian University.

On August 20, at their meeting at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, who arrived on a working visit in the republic discussed key areas of development of regional agro-industrial complex. Tatarstan is one of the country's leaders in agricultural production.

On August 20, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister of Construction, Architecture and Utilities Sector Irek Faizullin discussed the issues of implementing regional and federal programmes in construction and housing and utility services in the region, as well as current tasks under the national projects.

On August 19, speaking at his meeting with the Chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Sun Wei on the sidelines of the III forum of Russia-China cooperation “ROSTKI” at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Sun Wei for visiting Kazan to participate in the ROSTKI forum. He emphasized that Tatarstan is actively involved in developing cooperation between Russia and China.

On August 19, speaking at the plenary session of the III forum of Russia-China cooperation “ROSTKI” at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center in Kazan with participation of Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, the Counselor of Russian President, Special Representative of the President for International Cooperation in the Sphere of Transport Igor Levitin, secretary of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Sun Wei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui and the Chairman of the Union of Chinese entrepreneurs in Russia Zhou Liqun, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that in recent years, China became a key foreign investor in the economy of the republic.
