Rustam Minnikhanov meets Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov

On 27 February at their meeting at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, who came to Kazan to take part in a collegium of regional Ministry of Industry and Trade and to hold a meeting of the Industry Coordination Council dedicated to the development of car parts manufacture, discussed results of work of the industrial sector of Tatarstan, outcomes of the consumer’s market in 2024 and the tasks the regional industry is facing in 2025.
It was stated at the meeting that under current conditions it is necessary to keep focused on the implementation of large strategic investments projects which strengthen technological sovereignty. Another important sphere is the increase of the operation performance and the growth of productivity which influence the competitiveness of economy, it was said.
Welcoming participants of meeting, Anton Alikhanov said: “I am happy to be in Tatarstan again. Even though we come here rather often it is gratifying that the agenda is always rich. Very important enterprises which work for the good of the whole country are located in the republic.”
He also thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the attention attached to the development of the regional industry.
In his turn the Rais of the republic briefly reported about the current situation at industrial enterprises and said the economic development is going on and the enterprises have been able to build new cooperation and logistics ties and to implement import replacement projects.
He said that in 2024 the amount of shipped goods and services in the republic made 5.6bn rubles with the industrial index of 105 per cent
Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko and other officials also took part in the meeting.
