Rustam Minnikhanov: It is important that Kazan properly presents rich culture of Tatar people and the whole of Tatarstan to guests of Sabantuy

On 13 June, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said it is important that Kazan – the Cultural capital of the Islamic World-2026 - properly presents rich culture of Tatar people and the whole of Tatarstan to guests of Sabantuy.

Celebrations of the Sabatuy are going on in the republic and next week on 20 June the fest will be held in Kazan, the Rais of the republic said and gave an errand: “It goes without saying that the festive courtyards of our regions give a special flavor to the Kazan Sabantuy. Heads of the assigned regions must keep preparations of the fest sites under their personal control and the Mayor’s Office of Kazan must create all necessary conditions for work of our teams from that regions. The most important task is to ensure law and order and security. Special attention should be attached to all logistics details such as routes and the timetable of the public transport, and to provide a sufficient number of parking spaces.”
