Rustam Minnikhanov meets Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Mamari

On 28 November in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Mamari who came to the republic during his visit to Russia.

Welcoming his guest, Rustam Minnikhanov said that he was sincerely happy to take part in the high level negotiations during the state visit of Sultan of Oman His Majesty  Haitham bin Tariq Al Said  to Russia in April of the current year and reminded that later in May he visited Oman.

Speaking about the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Oman, the Rais of the republic said that even though the numbers are small, the potential for cooperation is enormous and emphasized that currently the republic is the center of interaction of Russia with the Islamic world.

Rustam Minnikhanov stated that it is important to organize reciprocal visits and business circles meeting to ramp up contacts,   and added that the annual International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world: Kazanforum” held in Kazan is an efficient platform for acquaintance.

In his turn the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Mohammed bin Said Al Mamari told about work done by his institution including that at the international level.
