Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a strategic session on the Strategy of Development of the Construction branch and housing and utilities infrastructure by 2030

On 25 November in Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a strategic session “On progress of implementation the Strategy of the Development of the Construction Branch and Housing and Utilities infrastructure till 2030 and with the forecast till 2035” held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Speaking at the session, the Head of the Russian Government stated that the aim of the Strategy adopted three years ago is the achievement of ensuring comfortable and safe living environment and noted that all key indicators set for the first period – until 2024 – were achieved, many of them exceeding planned values.

Speaking about challenges the construction branch and the housing and utilities sector are facing, Mikhail Mishustin first of all mentioned the reduction in demand in the housing market, including that for mortgages, and a limited access to project financing.

“To decrease risks of cutting down the number of new projects and issuing development permission, the Government raised the level of compensation to credit institutions for preferential mortgage loans. The limits for main of them have been expanded,” he informed.
