On 26 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Director General of the SIBUR Company Mikhail Karisalov and other officials took part in a ceremony of launching construction of the largest catalysts production plant in Kazan.

Its own production of catalysts for base polymers will make it possible for SIBUR to organize a complete cycle of innovations from lab developments to industrial production of modern synthetic materials. About 90 per cent of petrochemical industry also needs catalysts which have an impact on qualities of material and the end products. 

On 26 June in his address on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin, who is also the Chairman of Anti-Drug Commission of the republic, said: “On 26 June the world community celebrates the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking the main aim of which is to attract attention of all states and the world community to this problem.

On 25 June, speaking at his meeting with the President of the Transitional Period of the Republic of Mali Assimi Goita , who has come on official visit to Russia, in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Assimi Goita for his visit to Kazan and the attention given to issues of cooperation with the republic. “During your stay in Tatarstan you will be able to have closer acquaintance with capacities of our republic, its history, culture and traditions. In our turn we will do our best to make your visit interesting and fruitful,” he said.

On 25 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the President of the Transitional Period of the Republic of Mali Assimi Goita was welcomed by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. 

On 25 June at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Ombudsperson Tatyana Moskalkova discussed the resolution of issues of participants of the special military operation and their relatives, the implementation of social support programmes for the population, including families with children, and the further promotion of legal education.

On 23 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov looked round several sites to be reconstructed or built in the historical center of Kazan such as the city mansion of the 19th century in Podluzhnaya Street, the House of the Teacher built in 1900 which is already under reconstruction and will have a garden nearby with a monument to a school teacher, and a project of a multifunctional complex Umarta (a bee) to be built near the Millennium bridge. After having listened to the work to be done and walking round the sites, Rustam Minnikhanov approved all three projects.

On 21 June, speaking at his meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Muslim Elders H.E. Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam during the celebrations of the Tatar folk fest of Sabantuy, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed his guest and stated that he is very happy to see him in the republic.

On 20 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev attended horse races held at the International Equestrian Complex in Kazan and dedicated to Kazan Sabantuy. 

On 20 June, speaking at a regional meeting in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that a delegation from the republic took an active part in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).

On 20 June at their meeting on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar discussed issues of cooperation. In particular, the parties considered interaction in the sphere of digitalization as the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev was one of the members of a delegation from the country.
