Rustam Minnikhanov meets executive candidate pool of Kirov region

On 22 November in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the executive candidate pool of Kirov region held with participation of the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov.   The aim of the delegation headed by the Governor of the region Aleksandr Sokolov was to study advanced experience of Tatarstan in social, economic and state governance.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the republic has developed a multi-layer system of working with manpower which includes both development of its own executive pool and continues training for the current working team, taking into consideration international internships in Singapore and China.

He attracted special attention to the programme “Batyrlar. Heroes of Tatarstan” aimed at professional retraining of veterans of the special military operation, which has started in the republic this year and informed that currently a group of 46 people is passing internship in the power bodies, each of them having an assigned mentor from ministers and heads of administrations.

Despite unprecedented external pressure, the economy of the republic is showing steady growth, Rustam Minnikhanov said and stated that according to results of nine months of 2025 the GRP has exceeded 4.3 trillion rubles showing the 3 per cent growth. He also informed that the industrial production index has reached 112%, the amount of construction work was 672bn rubles and that of agriculture – 289bn. Investments in fixed assets last year amounted to 1 trillion 430 billion rubles, and this figure is expected to be reached again this year, he said.

Having reminded about large international events held in the republic last and in the current years, Rustam Minnikhanov concluded; “Thank you very much for your interest in the experience of the republic. We are always ready to share our developments with our colleagues and tell about the results we have achieved.”

In his turn Aleksandr Sokolov expressed his gratitude for a warm welcome and an opportunity to borrow best practices. “Tatarstan has achieved great success over the past 30 years. We should learn from the leaders, from those who are ahead. Thank you for having us,” he said.
