On 9 November, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chief Scientific Officer of the Federal Coal and Coal Chemistry Research Center of the Siberia Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences Zinfer Ismagilov discussed issues of cooperation in chemistry and petrochemicals, development of industrial ecology and interaction in the sphere of science and education.

On 8 November, speaking at his meeting in the Kazan Kremlin with the Co-chairman of the Ibn Haldun University Trustees Council, the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan, who came on working visit to Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that current contacts at all levels always give a good impetus for the development of cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Russia and Turkey.

On 8 November, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic held with participation of the Director General of the Tatneftekhiminvest holding Rafinat Yarullin, Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko informed that in the first six months of the current year the foreign trade turnover of the republic has grown by 14 per cent compared to the same period last year and reached 9.6bn dollars.

On 8 November in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to the Russian Federation Jean-Baptiste Thiathie Tine, who came on a three-day working visit to Tatarstan on 7 November. Regional Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko, the Aid to the President Gazinur Bakirov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the representative of Russian Foreign Ministry in Kazan Radik Vakhitov also took part in the meeting.

The adoption of the Basic Law on November 6, 1992 laid the foundation for the political structure and socio-economic development of the republic, ensured the coherence of the work of the entire system of state authorities and local self-government.

On 5 November in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in awards for developing civil society institutes.

He thanked the laureates for their active participation in life of the republic and stated that projects they are implementing have large public meaning and are an example of citizen activism.

On 5 November, reporting about results of the current harvest campaign at a meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government house of the republic, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zayabbarov said that farmers of the republic have to harvest about 129 thousand hectares of sunflowers and 25 thousand hectares of corn. “If we can harvest these cultures when the temperature is below zero, today we are paying special attention to harvesting potatoes, vegetables and sugar beet” he said and added: “Taking into account the weather forecast the farmers will complete harvesting in the nearest days.” 

On 5 November, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov specified tasks in road maintenance in winter.

He gave an errand to the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Economy, Ministry of Construction and heads of municipalities together with departmental organizations to provide necessary maintenance of highways, lighting networks and yards and to form spare workforce and means capacity for quick response to possible critical weather conditions.

On 5 November, speaking at a regular meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated that autumn and winter seasons lay a number of tasks for providing public safety. First of all this concerns an uninterrupted heat supply, he said.

On November 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Pope Francis in Bahrain.

“Bahrain is currently hosting a representative and important forum on the dialogue of cultures, faiths and civilizations. It is gratifying that issues of global concern are being discussed with such high-level representatives as you are,” Tatarstan President started the discussion.
