Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture has reported about the pace of the harvest campaign

On 5 November, reporting about results of the current harvest campaign at a meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government house of the republic, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zayabbarov said that farmers of the republic have to harvest about 129 thousand hectares of sunflowers and 25 thousand hectares of corn. “If we can harvest these cultures when the temperature is below zero, today we are paying special attention to harvesting potatoes, vegetables and sugar beet” he said and added: “Taking into account the weather forecast the farmers will complete harvesting in the nearest days.” .

He informed that according to information provided by the Russian Agricultural Center in Tatarstan, the weather is favourable for winter crops and 96 per cent of the 472 thousand hectares of seedlings are in satisfactory condition.
