On September 6, in Vladivostok, with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Aleksander Vedyakhin signed an agreement on the renovation of the territory of the river port of Kazan.
According to preliminary calculations, the total amount of investment in the development of the territory of the river port of Kazan, namely 287 hectares is 500 billion roubles. Today, these squares are occupied by idle production, warehouses, abandoned premises.
“Development of Kazan port area is one of the key growth points of our city. In addition to improving living conditions for residents of the republic and its capital, additional jobs will be created, specialists from various spheres of activity will be involved,” Minnikhanov emphasized.
He also thanked senior managers of Sberbank for their cooperation.
The agreement envisages the participation of Sberbank in structuring the financing of projects for the complex renovation of the industrial zone in the river port area. As many as 1.5 million square meters of housing and 1.3 million square meters of administrative and commercial premises will be built. There are also plans to build a landscaped embankment along the Volga 12 km long, as well as public spaces.
