On 18 January at a regular Saturday meeting in the Government House of the republic it was announced that by his decree from 18 January 2025 the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov appointed Marat Fayzrakhmanov to the post of the Minister of Finance of the republic.

On 17 January at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the Judicial Department at the Russian Supreme Court Vladislav Ivanov discussed a number of issues in cooperation including management of work of regional (city) courts of the republic, improvement of their facilities and resources and further digital development of the judicial system. 

On 16 January, speaking at his meeting with the Governor of Vologda region Georgy Filimonov in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic has good opportunities for broadening cooperation with the region.

On 16 January in the Kazan Kremlin the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with a delegation from Zimbabwe, comprising members of the Government of the country and representatives of the Office of the President of Zimbabwe, which came on a working trip to the republic.

On 16 January in the library of the Kazan Federal University the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the World Class Research Center for Rational use of Liquid Hydrocarbon Deposits of the Planet (CLH).

On 15 December at their meeting in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to the Russian capital, and the Secretary General of the Eurasian People’s Assembly Andrey Belyaninov discussed issues of further cooperation and the development of contacts both on the inter-regional and international levels.

On 15 January, speaking at a briefing in the Government house of the republic dedicated to implementation of national projects in Tatarstan, the Minister of Economy of the republic Midkhat Shagiakhmetov informed about main achievements of the republic in 2019-2024 and said that more than 228bn rubles has been allocated on implementation of the national projects in the republic for the last six years.

On 14 January, speaking at his meeting with the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Cyril, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that such meetings have become traditional and take place during celebrations of Orthodox Christmas and congratulated Orthodox Christians of the republic with this happy holiday. 

On 14 January at their meeting in Kazan the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, the Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Moscow and the Central region Albir Krganov, held with participation of the Mufti of the republic Kamil Samigullin, discussed issues of interaction in the sphere of strengthening interethnic and inter-religious concord and the development of the Islamic education.

On 14 January in the Kazan Kremlin the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov , the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametsin, who is the President of the regional Federation of Volleyball and the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov, who is the Chairman of the Dynamo Fitness and Sports Society, took part in an event of commending the female volleyball club Dynamo Ak-Bars, who won the Russia volleyball Cup in 2024.
