On 22 October the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov as a member of a Russian delegation is taking part in a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin the with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which is taking place on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan.

On 22 October upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, who came to Tatarstan to take part in the BRICS Summit, was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.

On 22 October upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, who came to Tatarstan to take part in the BRICS Summit, was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin. 

Iran became the full member of the BRICS Group on 1 January 2024.

On October 22, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Kazan to take part in the BRICS Summit, was met by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan International Airport.

On October 22, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who arrived to take part in the BRICS Summit, was met by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan International Airport.
