Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov speaks in debates in the investments forum in Abu-Dhabi

On 7 April the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikjhanov took part in debates in the investments forum in Abu-Dhabi the topic of which was dedicated to the future of global investments. 
Speaking in the debates, the Rais of the republic reminded that Tatarstan has been a partner and participant of the event since the time of its establishment. “For us the forum is a platform for presenting investments opportunities of our republic, exchange of experience with foreign partners and setting up new contacts,” he emphasized. 
“Tatarstan as a region of Russia with the developed economy based on innovations and modern technologies carries out systemic work in improvement of the already created, study of best practices and implementation of new approaches. We provide intensive support to SMEs, create favourable investments climate, introduce green technologies, carry out work for adaptation to the climate changes and promote principles of circular economy and sustainable development,” Rustam Minnikhanov stated. 
He informed that attraction of investors is one of priority tasks of the republic and most of investments are coming from Asia and Gulf countries. In 2024 Tatarstan ranked the second in the National ranking of investments climate of Russian entities.
In his speech he especially mentioned the partnership banking having said that the republic is a pilot region in introducing the principles of Islamic financing in Russia. 
“Our information confirms a substantial growth of interest to this financing both from citizens and financial organizations. Currently there are all basic Islamic financing products, developed by our specialists and certified by AAOIFI,” the Rais of the republic emphasized and said that forums held in Tatarstan are an important tool for working with and attracting investors and invited all participants of the debates to take part in them. 
In conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov said that he is the head of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World”, which he is the head of by the errand from Russian President Vladimir Putin, and informed that in 2024 the trade turnover of Tatarstan with the OIC countries grew by 38 per cent and reached somewhat 8bn dollars US.
