On 30 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the regional Minister of Healthcare Marsel Minullin, the Head of the Muslims Spiritual Board of the republic Kamil Samigullin and the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Cyril took part in a ceremony of opening a Quiet Garden spiritual complex at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital in Kazan.

On 30 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a ceremony of unveiling a memorial plaque of Hero of Socialist Labour Ildus Mostykov created by the sculptor Zulfia Mykhamedyanova and held in Kazan with participation of Mostyukov’s relatives and other guests.

On 30 August in his address to residents of the republic on the occasion of the Day of Tatarstan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said:”This day we feel pride for achievements of our countryman and fosterlings of the republic. We pay homage to veterans of the WWII, participants of the special military operation and their families. We commend the contribution of working teams, outstanding workers of science, culture and sports with deserved awards.

On August 29, speaking at a solemn reception on the occasion of the holiday with participation of the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Republic Day is one of the most cherished holidays, which unites all residents of multinational Tatarstan.

On 29 August, speaking at his meeting with the newly appointed General Consul of Uzbekistan in Kazan Nodirjon Kasimov, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We highly appreciate the opportunity of expanding cooperation with your country within the framework of friendly Russia-Uzbekistan relations. It is a special merit of Presidents of our countries Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirsiyoyev.”

On August 29, at a solemn ceremony held on the eve of celebrations of the Day of the Republic at the site in front of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in car keys to the winners of the regional competition among municipalities.

On August 29, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Science and Education Ilsur Khadiullin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited a new multidisciplinary lyceum N133 “Gailә” in the M-14 microdistrict in Kazan.

On 29 August the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia Yuriy Glazon took part in a ceremony introducing the new Chairman of Tatarstan Supreme Court Azat Gilmutdinov to its staff.

On 29 August in the Kazan Kremlin at a ceremony dedicated to the Day of Tatarstan, the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in 54 state awards to heads and employees of regional organizations and enterprises of the defense, machine-building, petrochemical, transport, forestry and agribusiness industries and representatives of science, education and art communities.

On 29 August the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev accompanied by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Chairman of the regional Committee for Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Ivan Guschin, the Mufti of the republic Kamil Samigullin and the imam-hatyb of the Al Marjani Mosque Mansur Djalyaletdinov, visited the Al Marjani Mosque built in the first half of the 18 century and which is one of the first stone mosques in the capital of the republic.
