On August 30, on the square in fron of the Kazan Family Centre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended the 4th ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of Cultures”. The final stage of the Festival of National Literatures of the Peoples of Russia was also held there.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed citizens on the occasion of the Day of the Republic.

I sincerely congratulate you on the main state holiday of Tatarstan – the Republic Day! The awareness of the significance of the event, which occurred on August 30, 1990, is increasing every year. Twenty eight years ago the republic assumed responsibility for the destiny of the multinational people of Tatarstan. We overcame the challenges and problems of the transition period together with all regions of Russia, reached a new level of socio-economic, spiritual and cultural development, and ensured high living standards for the Tatarstan citizens.

On August 29, at the Pyramida Entertainment Complex, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with old stagers and senior managers of industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, who have made a significant contribution to the development of the republic.

On August 29, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a video-conference on readiness of the education system for the beginning of the new school year held by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
