Rustam Minnikhanov: Due to the victories “Dinamo-Giproniiaviaprom” and “Dinano-Kazan” teams, more and more Tatarstan citizens are interested in field hockey

On October 18, speaking at a solemn celebration in honour Dinamo-Kazan men’s team and Dinamo- Giproniiaviaprom women’s club – Russian field hockey champions, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that due to the victories of the teams, field hockey is gaining momentum to the development and more than 1,000 Tatarstan citizens are engaged in this kind of sport.

He also emphasized that the teams reached the highest stage of the winners' podium due to the systematic purposeful work of the teams, players, coaches and sponsors. “I want to thank you for the hard, creative and dedicated work,” Minnikhanov addressed the ceremony participants.

Then, Minnikhanov handed in state awards of Tatarstan to the team representatives and letters of gratitude of Tatarstan President to a number of athletes.

Head coaches of the teams thanked Minnikhanov for the high appreciation and continuing support of the teams and handed in a winning field hockey stick and medals of champions.
