Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in 42nd meeting of Tatarstan State Council of the fifth convocation

On October 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 42nd meeting of the regional State Council of the fifth convocation held by Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin.  

Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, members of the regional government and invited guests took part in the meeting.

Before the beginning of the meeting, the people’s deputies hold a moment of silence the memory of those killed in the explosion at the Polytechnic College in Kerch.

There were 33 issues on the meeting’s agenda.

The people’s deputies considered the bill on the regional budget for 2019 and the planning period of 2020-2021 and the draft budget of the territorial compulsory medical insurance fund in the first reading.

The first reading is an important stage of budget consideration, because the general financial indicators, in particular, the size of income and expenses, the shortfall amount, the limit of public debt are approved during this period. The forecast of the socio-economic development of Tatarstan for the next financial year and planning period were under discussion during the first reading.

At the 42nd meeting, bills, amending the Land Code of Tatarstan, as well as the regional laws on the Constitutional Court, the Accounts Chamber, energy saving, energy efficiency in Tatarstan and a number of other laws will be considered.
