On July 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a short-term working visit in the Republic of Turkey to take part in a ceremony of inauguration of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was met by Ambassador of Turkey to Russia Hüseyin Diriöz, Ambassador of Russia to Turkey Alexey Erkhov and Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak at the airport.

On July 9, on the sidelines of the international industrial trade fair INNOPROM-2018, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev signed the protocol for the implementation of the agreement between Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk region on cooperation in trade and economic, scientific and technical, ecological, humanitarian, cultural and other areas for 2018-2020.
