On 24 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a short-term business visit to Kazakhstan, had a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev.

At the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov said he was grateful to Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev for the possibility to discuss spheres of cooperation and implementation of a number of projects and told the Kazakhstan President about the development of a number of investment projects and the plans to increase the interaction with Kazakhstan partners.

On 24 January within his business visit program Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Kazakhstan Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Government of Kazakhstan for its attention to cooperation between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan which “is aimed at strengthening friendly Russian-Kazakhstan relations”. 

On 24 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to a business visit to Kazakhstan, and Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin visited the Akmolinsk KAMAZ Auto Center.

Minnikhanov looked around the auto center, its warehouse and the special vehicles mounting center which all underwent modernization in 2021 increasing the number of storage places in the warehouse.

On 23 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Director General of the Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov and the Director General of the KAMAZ Automaker Sergey Kogogin arrived on a working visit to Kazakhstan. Upon his arrival to the Nur-Sultan International Airport Minnikhanov was welcomed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the country Roman Sklyar. 

On 22 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a videoconference with all municipalities of the republic on the situation with the agricultural land use. Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the regional Minister of the Land and Property Regulations Fanil Agliullin also took part in the meeting.

Speaking at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic on 22 January, the Minister of Agriculture of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported about implementation of national agricultural business projects. Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin also took part in the meeting.

Speaking about implementation of the regional programs of construction and capital overhaul of social-cultural facilities, national and state programs at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with the participation of the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the First Deputy Minister of Construction of the republic Aleksey Frolov said, that 13 ministries and departments were taking part in preparation of 44 regional programs, 22 of which have been approved already.

At a traditional meeting in the Government House of the republic on 22 January, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to heads of regions and cities to step up snow removal monitoring.

On 22 January at the Government House of the republic Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting to discuss the situation with the COVID-19 in the republic.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov said that first cases of OMICRON strain have been registered in the republic. “It is a highly contagious strain and it is necessary to maintain all protective measures such as disinfection, PPE at schools and enterprises. We should seriously strengthen primary care and all treatment must be controlled by a medical doctor” – he said.

On 21 January, speaking at the summarizing collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Culture, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leila Fazleyeva said that development of culture was one of the priority spheres and one of the most important resources for strengthening inter-ethnic peace and concord in Tatarstan.
