Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

On 22 March upon his arrival to the International Airport Tashkent in the evening, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working visit to Uzbekistan, was met by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia in the republic Oleg Malguinov and Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.

According to the results of 2021, the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan made nearly 200m US dollars and the trade and economic relations between the republics strengthened in the last 5 years under the cooperation of Russia and Uzbekistan. A number of agreements and memoranda on cooperation are signed and being implemented by ministries, Chambers of Commerce, enterprises and universities of both republics. Uzbekistan also has fruitful cooperation with such Tatarstan companies as the KAMAZ Automaker, the Tatneft Oil Company, Khimgrad Industrial Park, KER-Holding and many others.
