On 11 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on city-building issues in historical settlements with the Aid to the Rais Olesya Baltusova, the Mayor of Kazan Olsur Metshin, permanent members of the commission , the administration of departments and members of the architectural community taking part in it.

On 11 May , speaking at a ceremony honouring the Zenith-Kazan male volleyball club, which for the 11th time has become the champion of Russia, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that during the whole championship Kazan volleyball players showed bright and robust play, the highest sportsmanship, a team spirit and a commitment to win. 

On 11 May in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the newly appointed Consul of Iran in Kazan Davood Mirzahani, whom he congratulated with being assigned to Tatarstan. “Taking into consideration the level of our relations with Iran, close economic and cultural ties, I hope your work in Tatarstan will be interesting and fruitful,” he said. 

On 10 May at a briefing about the capital overhaul of multi-apartment houses in the region held in the Government House of the republic, the Director General of the Tatarstan Fund of Housing and Utilities Sector Ayrat Abuzyarov informed that according to the capital overhaul programme, home elevators will be replaced in 96 multi-apartment houses of Tatarstan in 2023.

On May 9, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in solemn events dedicated to the Victory Day. Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Hero of Labour of Russia Mintimer Shaimiev and accompanying them people laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame of the Colonnade of the Glory Memorial in Kazan.

On May 9, at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin honored the memory of the soldiers of the World War II and laid flowers at the military burials.

On 8 May on the sidelines of the12th Annual Investment Forum AIM Global 2023 held in Abu Dhabi, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.

As the parties have already met many times the meeting went in a friendly atmosphere, and Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the possibility to meet him again and to take part in the Forum.

On 8 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov as the Guest of Honor took part in a ceremony of opening the12th Annual Investment Forum AIM Global 2023 in Abu Dhabi and as an international expert made a speech at a plenary session “The World Leaders Debates”, which this year was dedicated to the changes of the investments paradigm. Prior to the session he walked round the exhibition exposition of the investment forum. 

On 8 May at their meeting on the sidelines of the12th Annual Investment Forum AIM Global 2023 held in Abu Dhabi, the Rais ( Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Al Rais tourist operator headed by the Executive Manager of the Al-Rais Group  Mohamed Jassim Al-Rais spoke about their first meeting also on the sidelines of the AIM forum in Dubai in 2022, which resulted in a joint inform-tour of Arabic mass media and bloggers to Tatarstan in August 2022 and an advertising campaign of Tatarstan tourist sightseeing trips  in social media of the Persian Gulf countries.
