Rais of Tatarstan meets leading specialists in additive manufacturing

On 30 June at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  and the Executive Director of the Association od Development of additive manufacturing, the Counselor of the Association President Olga Ospennikova, the Director General of the Rusatom Additive Technologies Ilya Kavelashvili and the Rector of St Petersburg State Marine Technical University Gleb Turichin, who all are leading specialists in additive manufacturing of Russiaя, discussed prospects of development of in additive manufacturing in Tatarstan and holding an All-Russia leader-forum in additive manufacturing in Kazan.

Additive technologies are a process of manufacturing 3D objects and pieces by adding material layer wise, using 3D printers. Today they are becoming more and more popular in aircraft- and engine building, automotive and ship building, space industry, medicine and other spheres of industry. 

Later the same day the guests of the meeting made their presentations at a meeting of the Tatneftekhiminvest holding Board of Directors.
