Rustam Minnikhanov declaims against the action of burning the Quran in Sweden

Declaiming against the action of burning the Quran in the Swedish capital Stockholm, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “In these days important for all Muslims we have again witnessed the monstrous defiling of the Holy Quran. It is deeply worrying that these acts of vandalism have become regular and are taking place with the official permission from the authorities. 

As the Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group Russia –Islamic world I condemn this inhumanity. How would the administration of Sweden respond if their Constitution was burned somewhere? 

Due to efforts of our President, representatives of all religious live in peace and concord in Russia. A vivid evidence of deep respect to Islam is the solid position of Vladimir Putin that disrespect to Quran is a crime in Russia. And mutual respect between Christians and Muslims as brothers strengthens unity of people of Russia. 

I am sure in these festive days millions of Muslims are praying together for solidarity, peace and prudence,” he concluded.
