Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the President of the All-Russia Federation of track and field athletics Petr Ivanov

On 30 June at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the President of the All-Russia Federation of track and field athletics Petr Ivanov discussed implementation of the programme on development of track and field athletics in the republic till 2028, development of mass running movement and improvement of the field athletics infrastructure. They also discussed issues in procurement procedures, antimonopoly policy and development of competition.

Currently there are nearly 33 thousand people doing track and field in the republic with 3 500 children being trained in this sphere at sports schools. The 2023 calendar plan includes 27 competitions and 42 athletes from Tatarstan are members of the main and reserve teams of Russia.
