Rustam Minnikhanov attends the opening of the V International music festival “Summer nights in Yelabuga”

On 29 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Head of Yelabuga region Rustem Nuriev attended the ceremony of opening of the V International musical festival “Summer nights in Yelabuga” organized by the Russian pianist Boris Beresovskiy in the open air at one of the most picturesque places of the city – the Shishkin Ponds. 

The festival is a unique project aimed at preservation and multiplication of cultural heritage and attracting attention to performing art. During 4 days of the festival the spectators will listen to music masterpieces performed by famous musicians including the Tatarstan State philharmonic orchestra, the philharmonic orchestra “Gnesin visrtuosi” from Moscow, Emir Kusturitsa and The No Smoking Orchestra from Serbia and many others.

Upon his arrival, Rustam Minnikhanov was told about the project of reconstruction of the Shishkin Ponds finance by the grant of the All-Russia competition “Small cities and historical settlements,” being implemented in 2023-2024.

The Rais of the republic also had a meeting with 11 young people from Lisichansk who graduated from the Yelabuga Kazan Federal University Schoolе and are planning to continue their studies at Tatarstan universities.
