Aleksey Pesoshin: Units of the Russian National Guard Troops Directorate for Tatarstan demonstrate high skills and professionalism

On 19 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Russian National Guard Troops Directorate for the republic which summarized results of its work in 2025.

After a welcoming speech of the Head of the Directorate Rustem Gumerov, the participants of the meeting listened to the report of the Deputy Head Sergey Yakushev who told about main activities of the Directorate in 2025.

He informed that last year the staff of the special task units was involved in more than two thousand military operations and special events both in the republic and outside it.

Thus 352 people were detained on suspicion of committing crimes, including 26 for extremist and terrorist crimes, and about 2,900 citizens – for administrative offenses.

As many as eight firearms, about 1 400 units of ammunition of various calibers and about 19 kilos of drugs have been withdrawn from illegal circulation and more than 300 objects were inspected, 106 explosive objects were discovered and neutralized, Sergey Yakushev reported.

He also informed that in 2025 the staff of the special task units of the Directorate continued to fulfill their military duties within the special military operation.

Telling about the Directorate structure, Sergey Yakushev said that currently there are 29 branches of the Russian National Guard Troops for the republic with 39 centralized security points and 62 detention groups working 24/7 and ensuring security at about 16 thousand various facilities and about 35 thousand private residential and storage places.

He also said that by the results of its work in 2025 the Tatarstan Directorate won the first place among territorial directorates of the Russian National Guard Troops.

In his turn, speaking at the meeting, Aleksey Pesoshin emphasized: “Units of the Russian National Guard Troops Directorate for Tatarstan demonstrate high skills and professionalism. In close cooperation with other law enforcement agencies and services, Russian Guard Troops personnel ensured public safety and order during major events held in the republic in 2025,” and thanked officers of the Troops for their work.

“I am confident that each of you will continue to carry out all assigned tasks at a high level,” he said, addressing the employees of the Directorate.

The Acting Commander of the Volga region district of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation Sergey Gashkov took part in the meeting via videoconference.
