On 15 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva, the Aid to the Rais of the republic Albert Guilmutdinov and the regional Minister of Education and Science Ilsur Khadiullin took part in a meeting of the Commission on Scientific and Technological Development of Russia.

On 15 May in her congratulatory address with the International Family Day to Tatarstan residents, the Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva said: “The family is the foundation of our multi-ethnic state, the firm rear and backbone for a man. It gives us strength in hour of need, teaches to trust and believe in oneself and helps to preserve spiritual and cultural traditions. It is in the family that we learn the most important things - love, responsibility and mutual respect.

On 15 May, speaking at a ceremony summarizing outcomes of the Y family tree festival “The Echo of centuries in the family history” held in the Tatar Academic Theatre in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the festival fosters preservation and development of family traditions, strengthening of family ties and raising the interest in history of Tatarstan and one’s own family. 

On May 13, speaking at the Government House of the republic at the regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Сhairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aleksandr Shadrikov reported on the progress of a two-month cleaning and environmental campaign.

On 13 May, speaking at a regional meeting held with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the forthcoming events of the KazanForum must be held at the highest organizational level.

On 13 May, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov  reported that the sowing campaign is close to the completion with 1.742m hectares or 95% of the planned territories cropped with spring cultures, such as cereals and leguminous crops, sugar beet, sunflower and rapes. He also informed that potatoes have been planted on 2 300 hectares which makes 47% of the planned and vegetables - on 1 000 hectares.

On 13 May, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin informed that1.411m square meters of housing has been commissioned in the republic, which makes 45.5% of the planned.

On May 12, speaking at a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation with Sri Lanka.

On 11 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the interdepartmental commission on city-building issues in historical settlements with the Aid to the Rais Olesya Baltusova, the Mayor of Kazan Olsur Metshin, permanent members of the commission , the administration of departments and members of the architectural community taking part in it.

On 11 May , speaking at a ceremony honouring the Zenith-Kazan male volleyball club, which for the 11th time has become the champion of Russia, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that during the whole championship Kazan volleyball players showed bright and robust play, the highest sportsmanship, a team spirit and a commitment to win.
