On June 26, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of East Azerbaijan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran Zein ol-Abedin Razavi Khorram visited the exhibition «My Iran» organized in the Kazan Kremlin.

On June 26, speaking at a meeting with Governor of East Azerbaijan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran Zein ol-Abedin Razavi Khorram held at the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said Tatarstan has a long history of relations with East Azerbaijan.

Minnikhanov thanked the Governor for the high level of organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to East Azerbaijan last September.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Iran under the Russian-Iranian relations. He also pointed to the great potential of trade and economic cooperation.

On 26 June at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Board of the Circle of Kindness Fund Aleksandr Tkachenko discussed issues of cooperation of the republic and the fund as today the fund provides medications for about 200 children in Tatarstan.

On 26 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in ceremonial events on the occasion of the 235th birthday of the Kazan State Gunpowder Plant. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that it is the team which makes the plant special and today there are more than 2 500 people working at the plant. “They are professionals who take their jobs with high responsibility. I would like to express deep gratitude to every employee for his and her work,” he said. 

On 24 June Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening the V summer the Transneft Company sports and athletic contest organized at the Universiade Village in Kazan. 

Winter and summer Transneft sports and athletic contests are held since 2011. The V contest is dedicated to 30th anniversary of the company and will host 575 athletes from all over Russia – 24 teams comprised of employees of the Transneft and its organizations, who will compete in basketball, volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, swimming and billiards. 

On 23 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the traditional horse race dedicated to Sabantuy holiday and organized at the equestrian centre in Kazan with participation of 135 thoroughbred Arabic, Tatar, trotting and riding horses, who will compete in 8 runnings and 6 races with athletes coming from Tatarstan. Mariy El, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Bashkortostan and other regions.

On 23 June, speaking at a plenary session of the International scientific-applied conference ”Modern business education: Russia and the world” held at the Kazan Federal University, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov greeted the participants of the conference, having reminded that a similar meeting was held in 2018 under different geopolitical conditions though. “Russia steers a steady course of building a multi-polar world based on principles of sovereign equality of states, diversity of cultures and civilizations. We know the reaction of the collective West,” he said. 

On 23 June at their meeting in the Government House in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Board of the Russian Highways (Avtodor) State Company Vyacheslav Petushenko discussed issues of construction of the M-12 speed highway with the length of 142 kilometers in Tatarstan. Also taking part in the meeting were the First Deputy Board Chairman – the Head of the M-12 company branch Mars Gazizullin, the First Deputy Board Chairman in Investments Policy Igor Koval and the Minister of Transport and Road Economy of the republic Farit Khanifov.

On 22 June, speaking at his meeting with the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on the premises of the Kazan Aircraft Plant, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that their meeting is taking place at one of the most famous aircraft plants of the country. 

On 22 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov took part in a meeting on issues of aircraft building held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on the premises of the Kazan Aircraft Plant within the agenda of his working trip to Kazan.
