Tatarstan Ministry of Construction: As many as 2m 884 thousand square meters of housing - or 93 per cent of the yearly plan have been commissioned in Tatarstan

On 16 September, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin said that the implementation of construction programmes in the republic is in full swing and contractors commission ready facilities every week.

Thus 2m 884 square meters of housing or 93 per cent of the yearly plan has been commissioned by 16 September, the Minister informed.

He also reported about implementation of construction and overhaul state and federal programmes by the Demography, Healthcare, Culture, Ecology and Recovery and Use of Natural Resources as well as about regional programmes in improvement of public spaces, drinking water supply and modernization of waste water treatment and canalization facilities.

Marat Ayzatullin also said that 41 per cent of work at 9 facilities done by the Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories programme and 71 per cent of work at 30 communal services infrastructure has been completed.

Reporting about readiness to the coming heating season, the Minister said that 3 208 out of 3 213 or 99 per cent of the boilers plants are ready.

In conclusion he informed participants of the meeting about labour safety checks carried out at construction sites both by state surveillance bodies and self-regulated organizations.
