Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Merited Master of Sports in billiards Diana Mironova

On 15 September at the Ak Bars Arena Stadium the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Tatarstan Merited Master of Sports in billiards Diana Mironova, who is the first and the only woman’s all-round champion and the Men’s Cup winner in 2023. She is also the most decorated billiards player both among women and men.

“We congratulate you and are very proud of your achievements,” Rustam Minnikhanov said, greeting the champion. 

During the meeting it was stated that billiards is among few kinds of sports where Russian athletes take part in world championships. Speaking to the Rais of the republic, Diana Mironova said: “We want to organize the Rais Cup in our native republic. I am sure Tatarstan can hold such world competition with flying colors.” 

Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to regional Ministry of Sports to make proposals for organization of the championship.
